The ruling party in Iran has outlawed St. Valentine's Day. They believe it leads to no good, advances Western values and was no doubt invented by an international Jewish conspiracy, headquartered in Israel.
A more leveled head would blame Molly Ringwald.
Molly Ringwald is an American actress, singer and dancer. She became popular with teenage audiences in the 1980s, as a result of her starring roles in the John Hughes movies Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), and Pretty in Pink (1986). She resumed her acting career with her role as Anne Juergensin the ABC Family show The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
The State Department of United States of America will neither confirm or deny suspicions that Ms. Ringwald is involved with George Soros to destabilize currencies and promote social anarchy across the planet.
Yet when you look at her work, you can't help but see she is nothing more than a trollop looking to exploit her pouty good looks to get her away.
Imagine if this ideology were to take root in Iran.
To better understand the paranoia associated with the possible release of 16 Candles II, you would have to look at United States of America's obsession with Godzilla and The China Syndrome.
In both of these movies unchecked nuclear greed created apocalyptic doom. In one case a demonic presence forced itself on screen and carved a path of destruction never before seen; but enough about Jane Fonda. In Godzilla, a large atomically mutated lizard destroyed most of Japan.
The net result, an obvious conclusion… Nuclear power should never be used because we cannot risk mutation or new Jane Fonda films. Keep in mind with Jack Lemmon's passing, the only way the cast could reunite, is with two more deaths. Based on the results of Mr. Zeta-Jones' recent work… Maybe only one and a half more deaths.
Fears both rational and film-based are real. When you have a visceral reaction to something you see... you will put up with anything to keep it away.
The Iranians will punish people with lacy red heart shaped cards next month. At the same time, stimulus money will be used to make sure the DNA of salamanders remains in tact.
If only Michael Anthony Hall had kissed sweet, young Molly, there would be one fewer problem in the world today. Damn John Hughes, without his meddling…

You're driving down the road, the UFO stops in front of you, the little green man gets out walks up to your window and asks…
What if you had everything you needed to be happy? Would you ask for something, like another chance?
Are you more afraid of how you will die, than the length of time you have left on the planet?
At what points in a year can three different generations come together and all feel and believe the same thing?
Is a parents happiness more important than the welfare of the family?
If all suffering was removed, how would we learn compassion?
If the ultimate healing power is time and its fuel is forgiveness, are you able to endure until the cure is reached?
If boredom leads to cruelty, just the ego expand to justify the inappropriate actions?
If a man speaks in the forest, his wife isn't there to hear him, is he still wrong?
Are you wondering if there will be a single statement in this post?
What is the most obvious way you can show you care?
If you do everything well, is it your obligation to serve, teach or invent something new?
What is the most valuable thing that you do for others every day?
What is the one thing you need most from your friends?
Are you asked more for your opinion and for information?
Are your problems so much more complex than others, that they can't be solved?
Have you reached the zenith of your own personal level of humanity? Does that mean there's more work to do or it just chilling, killing time and waiting for the bus run over you on your way to the Costco?
What is the cost in a smile? What is the value in seeing others smile?
If your brain constitutes 2% of the weight of your body and consumes 20% of the energy your body produces, what are you thinking about that justifies this expenditure?

When Money Comes From Magic Aardvarks, Does it Matter How You Spend It?
Sometimes two stories come together in the most perfect way. The first story comes from Portland, Oregon. The city of Portland has decided that bus drivers deserve $100,000 year salaries. What's more amazing are the 7 to 12 pages of
comments in The Oregonian sticking up for the bus drivers.
There are two problems within the story. The first is the acceptance of the premise that the bus driver through either seniority, outstanding driving record, ability to always bring donuts on Wednesday or some other extraordinary skill is
entitled to take 10th of $1 million a year from the hands of working stiffs.
Think back to Ralph Kramden. In Jackie Gleason's day bus drivers lived in tenements. What is likely to send you straight to the moon...it takes five families making $80,000 a year and being taxed at 25% to pay for just the salary of this municipal servant. That's five families giving up one quarter of their income so that a bus driver can live on a salary 25% greater than the families they serve. In addition to laying off the bus driver, whoever allowed his salary to become so inflated and so out of line with the compensation of the people who pay him should also be fired.
Now comes the outrageous part.
The state of California and the federal government have decided to construct a high-speed bullet train from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Obviously with jet service between the two cities at the top and the bottom of each hour and
flight times of 40 minutes, the public was clamoring for a 3 1/2 hour transit time between the two cities via Bakersfield.Then when you are flush with the trillion or so dollars in stimulus money, doesn't really matter what you spend on?
Where are the environmental impact studies, noise studies, pollution studies, effect on wildlife studies, effect on historic neighborhood studies and land-use studies that the state imposes on private business? If only half of these requirements were imposed on this project it would never be funded.
Are there families in Kern County wanting to spend $25 apiece to ride a bullet train to Los Angeles, then get on a bus and travel to Disneyland, spend the day, get back on the bus, and finally take the train back to the city which produces the largest
number of rutabagas and turnips on the West Coast?
Is building this project justified by an increased terror threat? Clearly terrorists could never find a way to sabotage 600 to 800 miles of track. Is this project advanced based upon the jobs created? it would take 500 families making $80,000 a
year to pay for each mile of this project, assuming construction costs could be constrained to $10 million a mile. but since the money to develop the train line has to be borrowed there is an additional 15 families paying interest for each mile of the project.
Now throw in the Portland bus driver concept. How many hundred thousand dollar year employees does the system mandate? What is their cost in salaries, benefits and the
legacy payments?
Would it be better if the federal government just commissioned a $500 million bronze statue. (Imagine Franklin D. Roosevelt and Barack Obama drinking a beer as LBJ picked his dogs up by their ears, standing over 900 feet high.) This would clearly be as beneficial as a bullet train, plus it does not come with bloated salaries to maintain and service the byproduct of wasted tax dollars.
